Caity Gyorgy (prononcez George) est une chanteuse canadienne récompensée à deux reprises par des prix JUNO et connue pour sa musique bebop et swing. Elle s’est produite dans des clubs et festivals de jazz au Canada, au Mexique, au Japon et aux États-Unis. Elle a travaillé et enregistré avec des musiciens incroyables tels que Christine Jensen, Pat LaBarbera, Jocelyn Gould, Ira Coleman, Bryn Roberts et Joe LaBarbera, pour n’en citer que quelques-uns.

En plus d’être une interprète, Caity est une écrivaine passionnée et compose des chansons dans le style du Great American Songbook. Ses compositions ont été chantées par d’autres chanteurs dans le monde entier et ont remporté de nombreux prix, dont le grand prix dans la catégorie jazz du 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Elle est également une clinicienne recherchée et enseigne actuellement le jazz vocal au Yukon Summer Music Camp à Whitehorse (Yukon) et au Interprovincial Music Camp à McKellar (Ontario).

Elle est actuellement signée par le label de Brooklyn La Reserve Records, avec lequel elle a sorti plusieurs albums de musique originale et standard, dont ses deux albums « Now Pronouncing » et « Featuring », récompensés par un JUNO, et son album « You’re Alike, You Two », avec le pianiste Mark Limacher, qui a été nommé pour un JUNO.

Caity Gyorgy (pronounced George) is a 2 time JUNO award winning Canadian vocalist known for singing bebop and swing music. She has performed at jazz clubs and festivals across Canada, Mexico, Japan and the USA and has worked and recorded with incredible musicians including Christine Jensen, Pat LaBarbera, Jocelyn Gould, Ira Coleman, Bryn Roberts and Joe LaBarbera, to name a few.

In addition to being a performer, Caity is an avid writer and composes songs in the style of the Great American Songbook. Her compositions have been sung by other vocalists around the world, and have won multiple awards including the Grand Prize in the jazz category of the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. She is also a sought after clinician and is currently on faculty as a vocal jazz instructor at the Yukon Summer Music Camp in Whitehorse, Yukon and the Interprovincial Music Camp in McKellar, Ontario.

She is currently signed to Brooklyn label La Reserve Records and has released several albums of original and standard music with them including her two JUNO award winning albums « Now Pronouncing » and « Featuring » and her JUNO nominated album with pianist Mark Limacher titled « You’re Alike, You Two”.
