Michel Cusson est un guitariste virtuose et compositeur de musique à l’image reconnu mondialement. Fondateur du groupe jazz-rock UZEB, il a marqué la scène internationale avant de se tourner vers la composition pour le cinéma et la télévision au début des années 1990.

Sur scène, Cusson a donné des milliers de concerts dans 22 pays, tant en solo qu’avec UZEB, avec qui il a effectué un retour remarqué en 2017. Il travaille présentement à la conception de son nouveau trio, VOLTAGE, un projet musical à la fois organique, électrique et cinématographique, qui sera présenté sur scène dès 2026.

Son œuvre, saluée à l’échelle internationale, lui a valu 14 Félix, 10 prix SOCAN, 6 Gémeaux, 1 Jutra, 1 Gemini et 1 Giant Screen Award. Par ailleurs, ses contributions exceptionnelles aux arts ont été saluées par sa nomination à titre de Membre de l’Ordre du Canada, soulignant l’impact majeur de son œuvre sur l’industrie.

Michel Cusson is a world-renowned virtuoso guitarist and composer. Founder of the jazz-rock band UZEB, he made his mark on the international scene before turning to composing for film and television in the early 1990s.

On stage, Cusson has given thousands of concerts in 22 countries, both solo and with UZEB, with whom he made a remarkable comeback in 2017. He is currently working on the creation of his new trio, VOLTAGE, an organic, electric, and cinematic musical project that will be presented on stage in 2026.

His internationally acclaimed work has earned him 14 Félix Awards, 10 SOCAN Awards, 6 Gémeaux Awards, 1 Jutra Award, 1 Gemini Award, and 1 Giant Screen Award. In addition, his outstanding contributions to the arts have been recognized with his appointment as a Member of the Order of Canada, highlighting the major impact of his work on the industry.
